Guy Edwards

The death has occurred of Guy Edwards, Clifden, Co. Galway, formerly of England, who passed away peacefully on 19th June 2026, aged 83.

Guy lived an extraordinary life. He was known internationally for his distinguished career in Formula One, endurance racing, and motorsport sponsorship, but to his family and friends, he was simply Guy – cheeky, witty, endlessly resourceful, and always happiest when sharing a meal, telling a story, or embarking on a new adventure.

Beloved father to his children, loving grandfather, cherished brother of his sister, and a much-loved friend. He will be deeply missed by his family, extended family, lifelong friends, and colleagues throughout Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the international motorsport community.

Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, 2nd July, at 11.00 am in Christ Church, Clifden. Cremation will take place afterwards at Shannon Crematorium in a ceremony for family and friends.
