Martin passed away peacefully at home on Friday, 17th July 2026, in the loving care of his family and close friends.

Predeceased by his beloved parents, Martin and Baba (Phatchín), and his brother Ned.

Martin will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Mary (Abbott), his five cherished grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, and his many friends.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing in St. Pio's Room, adjoining the Church of the Sacred Heart, Séamus Quirke Road, Galway, on Wednesday, 22nd July, from 6.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m., with removal afterwards into the adjoining church.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 23rd July, at 11.30 a.m. in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Séamus Quirke Road, Galway, followed by cremation at Shannon Crematorium at 3.00 p.m.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to MADRA.
