Mary passed away peacefully on Friday, 1st May 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family, in her 96th year.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Frank and her sister Freda.

Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her adoring family; her son Nelius, her daughters Joan (Daly), Helen (Dolan) and Annemarie, her cherished grandchildren Frankie, Lorna, Nicola, Brian, Alan and Mark, and her great-grandchildren Erin, Jack and Charlie, her sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May her kind and gentle soul rest in peace

Funeral Arrangements

Sunday, 3rd May 2026
Mary will repose in Conneely’s Funeral Home, Flood Street, Galway (H91 A786), from 5.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
No removal will take place to the church on Sunday evening.

Monday, 4th May 2026
Mary will arrive at The Abbey Church, St. Francis Street, in advance of Requiem Mass at 10.30 a.m.

Funeral afterwards to Bohermore Cemetery, where Mary will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband Frank.

Family and friends are welcome to join the funeral cortege as it walks from the Abbey to The New Cemetery, Bohermore. .

Family flowers only, please.

The family would like to sincerely thank the Community Palliative Care team, all those in the health care community who cared for Mary, and everyone for their sympathy and support.
