Sr. Nano passed away peacefully on Thursday, 30th July 2026, in the 70th year of her religious profession, in the kind and loving care of the staff of St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Shantalla Road, Galway.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Margaret, her brothers Geoff and Paul, and her sisters Mary and Bríd.

Deeply regretted by her Presentation Community and Congregation, her sister Margaret, her brothers Padraig and Brendan, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The Presentation Sisters would like to sincerely thank all those who cared for Sr. Nano during her illness.

May She Rest in Peace.

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Conneely's Funeral Home, Flood Street, Galway City (H91 A786), on Sunday, 2nd August, from 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Removal afterwards to St. Joseph’s Church, Presentation Road.

Parking is available for up to five family cars at the funeral home. A designated drop-off area is located outside the funeral home for those with mobility issues.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, 3rd August, at 11.00 a.m., followed by burial in the Presentation Sisters’ Community Plot at Rahoon Cemetery.
